Reclaiming Inclusive Civic Space in Armenia (CISU- 010)
The project got support from CISU, Denmark, and was realized in partnership with the Danish International organization “Mission East” during 2021-2022. It empowered Civil Society Organisations to hold duty bearers accountable for protecting the rights of People with Disabilities (PwD)s violated by the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen the capacity of national media to promote the rights of persons with disabilities discriminated against in times of crisis and beyond. Bridge of Hope together with disability and human rights organizations conducted a survey among the disability NGOs and people with disabilities and evaluated the impact of restrictions imposed during COVID-19 on PWDs and the violations of the rights of children with disabilities (CwDs) and PwDs during the crisis. Advocacy campaigns of the project raised awareness of the discrimination that persons with disabilities experience in accessing services during the pandemic and disseminated the finding of the survey to urge the authorities to respond to the critical and urgent need to deliver disability-inclusive-COVID-19 responses at national and local levels.
