Sirushik’s story

14 years old

“My life took a remarkable turn when I became part of the “Bridge of Hope” inclusive education program. I vividly remember the joy that engulfed my parents when they learned about the launch of the program at my school. At the time, I didn’t fully understand why this news brought them such happiness. Now, it’s clear to me why they were overjoyed. My school has become a cherished place—a place where I have numerous friends, and kind teachers who treat me with equal respect and care, just like any other child. It is a place where I no longer hear the intrusive questions that used to haunt me. Most importantly, it is a place where I finally feel that I am not different.

The “Bridge of Hope” inclusive education program has transformed my life in ways I could never have imagined. It has shattered the barriers of misunderstanding and prejudice, allowing me to embrace my true potential. With the support of this program, I have gained confidence, developed meaningful relationships, and discovered my love for learning. The program has created an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.

I am grateful for the “Bridge of Hope” organization and the educators who have made it their mission to ensure that children like me are given the same opportunities and rights as our peers. Through inclusive education, I have come to realize that my disability does not define me or limit my dreams. I am filled with hope and determination to pursue my aspirations, knowing that I am capable of achieving great things.

No longer do I feel the weight of being seen as different. Instead, I stand proud, knowing that I am part of a supportive community that values inclusion and understands the true meaning of equality. My journey continues, and I am excited to see what the future holds for me. With the “Bridge of Hope” by my side, I am confident that I can overcome any obstacle and create a fulfilling life for myself.”
