Inclusive education

Children who study together learn to live together.

Accessible and inclusive education is one of the first steps towards social inclusion. Children who learn together become the citizens that can easily live and work together.

At pre-school age, many children visit our development centers. Here they meet the multidisciplinary team (special pedagogues, psychologists, nurses and social workers) which plans the child’s individual social-psychological-pedagogical and rehabilitation program. This team guides the children in their further educational process.

Started from 2001, together with the government and our partners, we started a program that promotes inclusive education in Armenia. Soon the program became the base for developing the policy and legislation on inclusive education in Armenia. The Bridge of Hope team regularly retrains specialists from different educational institutions in Armenia which leads to a higher level (both qualitative and quantitative) of inclusive education.
